Dining at the Royal Hotel

At the Royal Hotel great emphasis is placed on celebrating the very best fresh local produce available. Meat from traditional local butchers, venison from local hunting estates and of course fish and shellfish from the seas around the Outer Hebrides are key features in our menus.

The Boatshed restaurant is a stylish, modern restaurant overlooking Stornoway Harbour and Lews Castle. Menus in the Boatshed celebrate the best of Scottish and Outer Hebridean seafood alongside a variety of other creative and well presented dishes.

If you are looking for a more casual dining experience then our recently refurbished HS-1 Cafe bar is for you. This is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy a meal or light bite with friends and family in a relaxed setting. HS-1 is served by the same kitchen as the Royal’s renowned Boatshed Restaurant, so your chosen dishes are prepared to high standards by a team of professional chefs.
